Registration Information
You can now register for online participation in this event. The registration for online participation allows you to attend all sessions and see all ePosters from the scientific programme live online, join live discussions, and replay sessions on demand up to 6 months after the conference.
At the moment, the number of registered participants reached the maximum capacity of the FEMS 2022 Conference Venue, HILTON Belgrade Hotel*.
How to register
Your FEMS Profile
All registrations must be made online via the conference website. In order to register, you need a FEMS profile/account. Please create an account here or login with your credentials here. Please make sure that your contact data is correct so the FEMS office can contact you with questions and eventually with the results of your submission.
Once logged in to your FEMS profile, you can access the registration system via this link.
You can find the registration system also in your FEMS profile:
- login to your FEMS profile
- click on 'Events'
- then on 'FEMS Conference on Microbiology 2022 - Book now'
- fill in the form and submit

Cancellation policy
Cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to the FEMS 2022 Conference Secretariat at belgrade2022@fems-microbiology.org. Cancellations postmarked before and on 1 May 2022 will be refunded deducting administration costs of 50€. After 1 May 2022, registration fees and dinner tickets are non-refundable. If, for reasons beyond the control of the organizers, the congress is cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of expenses incurred by the congress.
Conference dinner
You will not want to miss our conference dinner (1 July), an excellent opportunity to dine and forge great relationships, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Belgrade. You can get your tickets at EUR 50 per person. Come and join us!
Childcare
Childcare and nursing facilities will be available throughout the conference. We will share detailed information about childcare registration as soon as this is available. Please revisit this page later if you wish to register for childcare or sign up for the events newsletter.
Grant and Award Applications
If you wish to apply for a grant or award, you should submit your abstract and grant application first. To do so, please follow the instructions here. Do not register before you have received information on grant approval from the Conference Secretariat. The Conference Attendance Grant involves a waiver of the registration fee, so successful applicants do not need to pay the registration fee in advance.

Visa Information
Participants that will attend in Belgrade can request an invitation letter through the online registration from the FEMS Conference Secretariat. The invitation letter will only be issued upon completion of registration and receipt of the full pre-payment of the registration fee. This invitation letter does not involve any commitment by the Conference Secretariat to cover fees, accommodation, travel expenses or other costs associated with participation in the Conference.
If a participant’s application for visa is refused, the Conference Secretariat will refund the paid registration fees. Refunds will only be processed when the congress secretariat has received a copy of the refusal letter before 1 May 2022.
